How can I negotiate for lower rent?

Find another unit at a different complex that is around $750 and tell him you would prefer to rent from him if he comes down in price but if not your signing a lease with the other complex. If he doesn't accept right away or says no tell him that he has until tomorrow at noon to call you or else you're signing the lease with the other complex.
