this sounds like a typical allergic reaction. unfortunately, it may be to house hold dust. talk to your vet about skin testing your pup... the test takes a while, but when done, you will know what he is allergic to, and what he may develop allergies to in the future. fyi a lot of skin issues like these are allergies to carpet glues used in making them... the treatments are often antihistamines, cortizone and in extreme cases, steroids
